At NOVA Automation, the heart of our success is the hands-on dedication of our team. This week, we’re shining a light on Jaime Bakeman, our talented Project Manager, and how she ensures that your automation journey is smooth, efficient, and tailored to your needs.
Jaime’s role as a project manager is pivotal in guiding our clients through the NOVA PATH, a structured approach that transforms an idea into a fully functional machine. Here’s how it works:
Milestone 1: Project Begins
Once the proposal is signed and the deposit received, our Project Manager officially kicks off the project by assembling the team and ensuring all initial resources are in place. They review all of the details and prepares a project timeline to set expectations from the start, ensuring that everyone is aligned and ready for the work ahead.
Milestone 2: Approval & Data Collection
After receiving your approval drawing, Jaime takes the lead in collecting any additional data necessary for the project. She ensures that all technical specifications and requirements are fully captured, allowing for smooth integration into the next steps. This phase is critical for mitigating any potential issues down the road.
Milestone 3: Customer Kick-Off Meeting
Jaime hosts an in-depth customer meeting to discuss project objectives, milestones, and timelines. This is an opportunity to align on expectations, address any concerns, and ensure all team members, on both sides, are fully informed and ready to collaborate. Jaime’s goal is to set a clear roadmap for success and foster open communication throughout the project.
Milestone 4: Production Begins
With all details in place, fabrication of the machine begins. Jaime oversees the production process, making sure each step follows the approved design and timeline. She keeps track of progress and ensures that all quality control measures are adhered to, ensuring that the project stays on course and meets the highest standards.
Milestone 5: Assembly of Your Project
Once fabrication is complete, the assembly phase begins. Jaime coordinates with the team to ensure all parts are correctly integrated, and every component functions seamlessly. She ensures that each aspect of the project is thoroughly tested before moving to the final steps, giving customers confidence that the machine is ready for full operation.
Milestone 6: Factory Acceptance Test & Shipping
Before the machine ships, the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) happens, ensuring that the machine functions as expected and meets all specifications. We work closely with the customer to address any final adjustments before shipping. Once everything is in place, our Project Manager coordinates shipping and prepares the machine for delivery to your facility, ensuring a smooth handoff and readiness for the next phase of implementation.
A Project Manager understands that transitioning to automation can be daunting, especially for new customers. Machines take time to perfect, and challenges like troubleshooting or hitting target rates can arise. That’s where NOVA’s partnership shines. We offer a special program called NOVAsite that helps you troubleshoot any issues you may have. Take a look here.
Our Project Manager and the team work closely with clients throughout this phase, offering installation, start-up plans, and thorough training to ensure you feel confident. In some cases, customers may hire local personnel for ongoing support, but the NOVA team is always there with remote technical assistance, ready to guide you through any bumps along the way.
The final milestone, Site Acceptance & Project Closure, marks the completion of the NOVA PATH, but the relationship doesn’t end there. Our team’s commitment to customer success ensures that your team is fully equipped to handle your new machine and continue optimizing your processes.
You’re not just getting a machine, you’re gaining a trusted partner in your automation journey.
